One day, Scottie met Clive in the forest.

This is Amoonguss, a Pokémon that mimics Poké Balls.

He can lure prey close by dancing and waving his arm caps.

Though, apparently, it's not yet clear whether this mimicry is effective against other Pokémon.

I haven't heard of any Pokémon being tricked, but I do know someone who was deceived once.

It was a certain student from an academy in Paldea.

While they were working on their independent study assignment, they spotted a Poké Ball on the ground.

They went over to pick it up, and then...

Amoonguss showed itself and puffed spores at them.

They got covered in spores, and it took them a while to clean it all off...

Remember to be careful. If you find a dropped Poké Ball, you should not approach it too quickly.

You must first make sure it's not just a Pokémon mimicking one.
