A Day with Elio

Scottie came across Elio and Leon having a conversation.

Alola! I was just chatting with Leon about our partner Pokémon!

Yeah! This is my partner, Calyrex...

And it's riding atop another Pokémon called Glastrier!

Their bond is what helps bring them together as one Pokémon, apparently.

And my partner Pokémon is Necrozma!

It's in Dusk Mane form, which means it has attached itself to Solgaleo.

It seems that doing so allows it to dominate Solgaleo's mind and body.

In both cases, two different Pokémon come together to become one...

But I don't think it's exactly the same kind of mutually supportive relationship that Calyrex and Glastrier have.

I also heard that Necrozma devours Solgaleo's light and power...

and that worried me a little.

But those two separate from each other sometimes, right?

Yup. They can, as long as they're not in a battle...

If they can fuse and separate at will, then it's not completely one-sided, is it?

Hmmm. I guess that's true...

Now that you mention it, they don't seem to be suffering or anything when they separate from each other...

Maybe it started off one-sided...

but they eventually realized they could turn their relationship into something more cooperative!

I see...

During my island challenge, I ran into all kinds of folks...

Sometimes we couldn't understand each other and clashed...

but I think those moments still helped me learn and grow.

Necrozma and Solgaleo probably overcame some trials of their own.

Yeah! I think so, too!

Probably, yeah!

And maybe moving forward, experiencing all sorts of things together will deepen their bond even more!
