A Day with Akari

Scottie heard a troubled and flustered voice coming from the beach. It was Akari with some Pokémon.

Oops, sorry you had to see me like that. I feel so uncool now.

You see, I've been training with Samurott here to deepen our bond.

But...I can't seem to keep up with his energy.

It's not easy for people and Pokémon to truly be in sync with one another, huh?

That's right!

There are some other Pokémon that have been with me since I came to Hisui...

Pikachu's been my dependable companion ever since we were in Hisui.

There are some other Pokémon that came here with me...

But Samurott is the only one that's become my sync partner on Pasio so far.

My other Pokémon seem wary of the environment on this island and these strange Poké Balls.

But I met Samurott right after we got to Pasio...

Maybe that's why he didn't seem to hesitate with these future Poké Balls?

Anyway, that's why Samurott is my only sync partner for now.

But there's actually a bigger reason why I want to deepen my bond with him.

And that reason is Rei, my Survey Corps teammate!

He's been growing fast as a member of the Survey Corps. He's getting better and better at Pokémon battles...

In order to catch up to him, I felt a strong need to face my Pokémon...

and connect with them in the same way that everyone on Pasio does with theirs.

I want to reach your and Rei's level!

Samurott taught me how harsh wild Pokémon can be...

and the potential for people and Pokémon to live side by side.

I want to build my relationship with Samurott from scratch without fearing his power, and for us to be able to understand one another.

The moment we can trust each other from the bottom of our hearts is when we'll become true...

Yes, exactly!

You really get what I'm trying to say!

I've been asking myself what Pokémon mean to me.

I'm determined to really work with Samurott to find the answer!

When we become a sync pair that's just as brilliant as you and Rei are with your partner Pokémon...

I'll grow even closer to Samurott and Pikachu!
