A Day with Skyla

One particularly blustery day, Scottie spotted Skyla and Winona gazing up at the sky.

We've got some strong gusts today! l bet they'll keep picking up speed, too!

I can feel it... I feel the power of the wind as it breathes around us.

Just as Scottie was about to call out to them, a gust of wind rushed through the air.

Time to fly, Tornadus!

Let's go, Pelipper!

Skyla and Winona took off and were gone with the wind.

That was lovely. Let's do this again sometime.

Yeah, absolutely! I'm so glad I got to fly with you!

Oh, Scottie! Nice to see you!

The wind was so nice, I went flying with Winona!

I ran into her earlier. I guess the wind brought us to the same place!

Yeah! We understand each other, without even having to say anything!

I guess it's because people who like to fly are the intuitive, free-spirited types!

Now that I think about it, meeting Tornadus was kinda the same, too!

Well... I guess it wasn't the typical "Hey, nice to meet ya!" kind of deal.

Sure was! I'd even say it was a bit dramatic!

The morning I met Tornadus, I heard about some unusual weather from another pilot.

Apparently, there was some kind of disturbance making the weather unstable at the time.

So I tried to be careful when I went flying that day!

Sure enough, the weather suddenly turned into a nasty storm, and I caught the brunt of it.

I thought of flying right back home at first, but everyone needed help because the storms were damaging their crops!

So I decided to keep on flying to see what was making the weather so unstable.

That's when I found Tornadus, right in the eye of that storm.

Yep! But we weren't best friends right off the bat.

Yep! It didn't happen right off the bat, though.

Tornadus kept kicking up these huge storms.

I wanted to stop him from doing that, so I kept flying every time he started a storm!

Somehow, we got to understand each other better as we flew through all those storms.

Before I knew it, we were always hanging out together, like we do now!

Somehow, it just became natural to be together!

Hehe! That might be it!

Right? That's what makes first-time encounters so exciting!

You should let the wind guide you sometimes, too!

You never know... It might lead you to a new friend!
