A Day with Blue

Scottie saw a Pokémon flying by with a crackling sound.

[EN:Gen Ref="255" M="He" F="She" ] followed it, which led [EN:Gen Ref="255" M="him" F="her" ] to none other than Blue!

Hm? Oh, Scottie. What's up?

This is my partner, Zapdos!

Haha, I see! So Zapdos led you here, huh?

You might already know this, but Zapdos is one of the legendary bird Pokémon.

I met it while I was training in Kanto after losing to Red.

The moment I saw it, it was like a jolt of electricity ran up my spine.

I knew that together with Zapdos, I could get ahead of Red and Leaf!

Well...after that, I learned they'd also teamed up with Moltres and Articuno.

To be honest, it was pretty frustrating.

I thought I was gonna be the only one to partner up with a legendary bird Pokémon!

But...I guess it's interesting this way.

The moment I start thinking I'm getting a step ahead, they catch up to me right away.

I guess that's what rivals do, though.

I bet some might call it destiny, too.

Have you ever felt that sort of destiny, Scottie?

Oh, you have? Awesome!

Well, I think meeting you was my destiny!

The first time I ever felt that sort of destiny was when I met Red and Leaf.

I don't know why, but I somehow felt that it was the start of a long-lasting connection...

I've gotten as strong as I am now because they were there.

Red and Leaf will probably always be my rivals.

We battle all-out with each other and keep going back and forth, winning and losing... And that's how we get stronger!

But obviously, Zapdos and I are gonna be the last ones standing!

Heh, thanks! I'll definitely live up to your expectations!

Sure am! Together with Zapdos, I'm gonna become the most powerful Trainer in the world for sure this time!

Just you wait and see, Scottie!
