While walking around, Scottie overheard an argument between one person and another, much louder one.

Curious, [EN:Gen Ref="255" M="he" F="she" ] decided to take a closer look.

Aw, come on! And I thought we'd found a rare Pokémon, too!

We don't stand a chance against that punk! Let's get outta here!

All bark, no bite. Seems they've still got a ways to go... Hm?

Oh. It's just you... Did you see some weirdos come through here?

I see. I guess there's no reason to keep chasing after them.

I see. Those Trainers were weak, but perhaps their real strength is in running away.

Those fools ambushed me while I was walking and demanded that I hand over my Pokémon.

And if that weren't bad enough, they thought they'd sell it for a high price because it's rare. Just what do they think Pokémon are?!

Though...I may not have been so different once. But that was a long time ago.

I used to run with a group just like those guys.

Hmph. I know what's important, though. No use looking back on what can't be changed. I need to look ahead to the future I can still shape.

A future for all Pokémon...

Hmph... I guess that's one way of putting it. But it's more personal to me than that.

I'm not what you'd call a great guy or anything. My reasons are actually pretty selfish.

When you get right down to it, I just really hate people who exploit others to benefit themselves.

My Pokémon, Type: Null, was created by people who wanted to use it for their own ends.

And as long as they got what they wanted, they didn't care about any of the terrible things that Type: Null had to endure.

They didn't care at all about how Type: Null felt!

People change when they're chasing a goal. Some people change for the better, and some just end up turning bad...

I suppose it's normal to feel that way. But those people were too far gone to feel the same.

Nothing you need to worry about.

I just couldn't sit by and watch Type: Null be so unhappy anymore, so I took it with me.

And I decided I'd get stronger to protect it.

But...after my battles with a certain Trainer, I realized I was just making excuses to bury my loneliness.

Silvally and I, we take care of each other. It's a mutual arrangement, not one-sided at all.

We're equal partners. That's what it means to be a sync pair.

Hmph...
