A Day with Volo

Scottie spotted Volo and Giratina staring at some ruins.

Oh, Scottie.

You must have traveled quite a ways to get here.

Do ruins fascinate you too?

Well...the ones here are just replicas of those from other regions, but if you're just curious about history, they'll suffice.

Giratina also seems interested.

Whenever we visit these ruins, Giratina can't seem to settle down.

Parts of these ruins resemble those in the Hisui region related to Arceus myths.

Do you know why Giratina reacts so strongly to Arceus?

You have no clue, do you? Allow me to explain.

Giratina was born along with Dialga and Palkia, as their equal.

However, because Giratina brandished power as it pleased, Arceus banished it to the reverse side of our world.

I suppose its hatred for Arceus lingers even to this day.

The statue of what appeared to be Giratina, in the Hisui region ruins, crumbled.

I suppose at some point, everyone forgot Giratina even existed.

Nonetheless, it still hopes to challenge Arceus again, given the opportunity.

What a pitiful Pokémon indeed.

It will keep trying, over and over, despite being forgotten.

So you'll be Giratina's ally, then?

Are you saying you approve of what Giratina's done?

Or...were those words not just for Giratina, perhaps?

You are too soft for your own good.

Giratina and I certainly are persistent.

Even if others forget about us...

we'll keep following where our curiosity leads, and continue on, despite the struggle!
