32 linesHey there, Scottie! You out shopping?
Nice! The perfect way to clear one's head between battles.
Nice! The perfect way to clear one's head between battles.
I was just going around saying hi to all the Trainers that I battled in the past.
Of course, Pokémon battles are a greeting in and of themselves!
Yep! In fact, there was a time when I traveled and fought Trainers all over the Kanto region!
Well, there was a time when I traveled and fought Trainers all over the Kanto region!
It was more of a training journey! My Pokémon and I traveled to make ourselves stronger!
Thanks! Lycanroc seems to appreciate it, too!
Hmm, I suppose it is! And thanks, I'll take the compliment. Lycanroc seems to appreciate it, too!
Lycanroc, when he was still a Rockruff, and all my other Pokémon became stronger with me as we journeyed through Kanto.
It was because of those experiences that I was able to create the Alola League, yeah!
Thanks to that, a lot of strong Trainers found themselves in Alola.
Battling against them allowed me to raise my skills as a Trainer and make my Pokémon even stronger!
Take Brock, for example. He fights with Rock-type Pokémon, you know.
Since Lycanroc's a Rock type, too, we had a leisurely...er, I mean...intense battle!
I know, right? And Lycanroc especially seems to want to get stronger.
You bet I do! And Lycanroc especially seems to want to get stronger.
A Lycanroc in its Midday Form will typically be very loyal and follow its Trainer's commands to a tee, yeah!
But my Lycanroc is a little different, despite having evolved into Midday Form.
If I give an order he doesn't like, he ignores me.
He acts as if he's in Midnight Form!
So that helps me get better as well! I try to get stronger so I can keep fighting beside Lycanroc!
We're gonna continue getting stronger, just like you guys are, yeah!
Becoming friends is important, but that's not the only way for Trainers and their Pokémon to be.
I'm glad. I know you have your own strengths and ways of interacting with your Pokémon, too!
Don't worry. I know you've your own strengths and ways of interacting with your Pokémon, too!
Just out of curiosity...
do you think I beat the Lance, the Indigo Champion, when I was in Kanto?
You flatter me! Maybe I'll tell you that story sometime...
Good to know where you stand! Maybe I'll tell you that story sometime...
Since we've battled each other, I'd be curious to hear what you think!
