A Day with Kali

Scottie found Kali and Valerie deep in conversation.

A furisode inspired by Azumarill?

Yes! I'd like a furisode that's inspired by my partner Pokémon so we can better understand each other's feelings!

That's a good idea... But I think you should design that yourself, Kali.

What, me?

You're the one who knows the most about Azumarill, right?

I-I know, but... I'm not confident enough yet...

Sorry to do this mid conversation... I have plans coming up, so I must leave. Please forgive my rudeness.

I need someone to take my place... Oh! Is that Scottie?

Can I leave Kali with you for a bit?

Hehe, I appreciate it.

Hehe, how reliable!

Well then, see you later, you two. I'll be cheering you on.

After Valerie left, Kali began to mumble nervously...

At my current skill level, I wonder if I'll be able to make a design I'd be happy with...

Scottie...

That's right. I can't give up before I start.

Um... Then, could I formally ask you to help me design my furisode?

Valerie is always thinking about what's best for us.

And she asked you to take care of me.

That means she trusts you very much.

So, I think with you, I can make a furisode that I'd be proud of!

Yes! I feel slightly more confident!

That's right! Experience is everything, right?

Maybe I was comparing myself with Valerie and putting myself down...

Even if my skills aren't perfect, I've got to do what I can, especially for my partner Pokémon!

Because of you, I can move forward with this, Scottie.

I can see why Valerie thinks so highly of you.

OK then, Scottie! Let's battle!

I am the one who tests who has the skills to challenge Valerie.

But she's already approved of you, even though you haven't battled me.

And that's frustrating!

Also, I'd like to get to know you better!

Of course, me neither!

Thank you!

Prepare yourself!

I'm gonna show you a battle so beautiful, you won't be able to describe it with mere words!
