After securing victory in the World Tournament and peace on Earth, Goku headed off for fresh adventures with his new wife Chi-Chi! What exciting tales awaited the happy couple?

After a grueling battle, Goku defeated Piccolo. Saying farewell to their friends, Goku and Chi-Chi headed to Fry-Pan Mountain, where Chi-Chi's father, the Ox King, lived.

I wondered where you'd gotten off to, and you come back telling me you entered the World Tournament...

...and with a fiancé in tow at that! Now then, Goku! We need to hold a wedding!

Yeah, exactly! We'll need something amazing to welcome you into the family!

Chi-Chi, I have something to show you. It's the wedding dress your mama wore when we got married.

Goku and Chi-Chi headed east and stopped at Octagon Village, where they found clues on how to make the Bansho Fan.

According to information they found, they needed the feathers of a bird called the Fire-Eater to make the Bansho Fan. The couple headed far south to the crater of Mt. Kiwi, where the Fire-Eater was said to reside.

Oh... Oh no! I remember now! That's Goku!

Gyaaaah! Run awaaay!

Goku easily got rid of Pilaf, who was still intent on world domination. Goku and Chi-Chi gave up on the feathers of the Fire-Eater and left Mt. Kiwi to follow their next lead. At that moment...

No way... No way! Is this a dream?! It's the Fire-Eater!

The Fire-Eater flew off into the sky with its newly hatched chick following behind. Goku and Chi-Chi gladly took some of the feathers that were left behind, and the Bansho Fan was almost in their grasp, but then something unexpected occurred...

What's going on?! The feathers vanished...!

The Bansho Fan? Ah, yes, that mystical item.

You're on a fool's errand. The Fire-Eater lives on flames. If its feathers put them out, how would it survive?

Not even giving themselves time to be disappointed, Goku and Chi-Chi sped off north with their next clue. Would they really find the Bansho Fan there?

With the Ox King's castle up in mysterious flames, Goku and Chi-Chi set off in search for the Bansho Fan with Baba's clue of an octagon. The archaeologist they met at Mt. Kiwi told them to head north to Ice Mountain, a place where the Fire-Eater dared not go, but the couple soon discovered that this mountain prohibited women from entering!

Goku and Chi-Chi were cursed by a brutal blizzard. Fearing for their lives, they fled to the foot of the mountain where they found an old woman who lived alone.

Who might you folks be?!

I'm the octogenarian, Grandma Hakkake.

Hmm... I ain't heard of it, no.

I said octogenarian, not octagon! I'm in my 80s, y'see!

Hey now, whipper-snappers. Cheer up, eh?

You just need to put out a fire, right? Then that mountain has what ya need.
