Saiyan Trio Led by Fate

Lightyears away in the reaches of deep space, we come to Planet Vegeta, homeworld of the Saiyans. Upon its surface, a vessel belonging to King Cold himself touched down. Out stepped King Cold with an announcement that shocked all of space. He was stepping down from the position of warlord, leaving the revered mantle to his son Frieza.

And so, the Saiyans now had a new ruler to answer to... However, the Saiyan leader, King Vegeta, secretly fanned the flame of his own ambitions... The monarch was blessed with a talented son, one he hoped would lead his race to glory,

Young Prince Vegeta's gift for combat was indeed frightening... But the existence of an even greater prodigy came to the king's attention, one with powers surpassing even those of his son. The ruler's lineal dominance was in peril! This prodigy was the son of Paragus, a colonel in the Saiyan army.

Excuse my brazen query, my lord, but is it true...

...that you intend to send my boy Broly to a planet in the galactic outskirts?

B-But my liege, is not the conquest of such lands the task of low-class warriors?

King Vegeta had banished the young Broly in a bid to preserve his rule. Incensed at his king's blatant abuse of power, Paragus, along with his subordinate Beets, set out for Planet Vampa in order to rescue Broly.

King Vegeta's son, born around the same time as Broly, boasts a massive power level. A boon to his bloodline, to be sure.

Even so, the prince can't hold a candle to Broly's strength. The king couldn't bear such humiliation.

The pod was bound for a remote planet...

Vampa. A planetoid, to be exact, orbiting Star #94.

But why, sir? There are no inhabited planets in that sector...

The king's objective is not to conquer Vampa. He intends it to be a death trap...

Paragus was forced to accept his new home of Planet Vampa. It was in this harsh habitat he raised the young Broly, training him to be his tool for vengeance against his former king.

Ironically, fate was already about to deal the Saiyans and their homeworld a very cruel hand indeed...

Using Planet Vegeta as their base of operations, the Saiyans terrorized the universe, selling worlds they decimated on the planetary market. Such was their race's trade.

One fateful day, Frieza issued an order for all Saiyans to return home. Only one Saiyan by the name of Bardock questioned the warlord's motives. But orders were orders, and the soldier had no choice but to obey...

Bardock!

You're telling me. It's not that often everyone comes back.

He's in the military now, grouped with Prince Vegeta. They're off conquering some planet.

They haven't made it back yet.

Shouldn't we be heading back? Especially you, being a prince and all?

Bah. I'll just pretend I never heard the orders! Bwa ha ha!

Though just a child, the prince of the Saiyans commanded astonishing strength. With his team of planet conquerors, Vegeta razed world upon world, all while increasing his own awesome power...

Ignoring Frieza's orders to return home, Vegeta and Raditz continued their galactic onslaught. Meanwhile, new developments were afoot on Planet Vegeta...

I really think we should reconsider...

Then why don't the three of us run off somewhere together?

Bardock, sensing Frieza's nefarious plot, enlisted his wife's help to move their son off-planet. After a tearful farewell, Kakarot left Planet Vegeta.

And so it was that Kakarot touched down on Earth, setting in motion the most mystical of journeys...

Frieza had ordered the swift and immediate return of all his Saiyan minions to Planet Vegeta. Hearing their master's call, Saiyan forces scattered across the galaxy gathered to their homeworld in droves. Unfortunately for them, this was to be the first step of a sinister genocide...

Without the Saiyans, our force will plummet by fifty percent...

O-Oh?!

Bardock's ominous premonition turned out to be correct. Frieza's order to return was indeed a trap! And so, Bardock mustered all he had in a solitary final stand against the tyrant...

And with that, the Saiyans were obliterated... Bardock made a last stand against his race's oppressor. But, valiant though he was, the lone warrior too disappeared into the blast which consumed his planet.

There were, however, a small number of Saiyans who were able to dodge the bullet and survive. Among them were Vegeta, prince of the Saiyans... ...the exiled Broly... ...and Kakarot, who was sent to Earth. What did the future hold for these special three...?

Several decades after the demise of Planet Vegeta... Fate's odd twists and turns had brought former enemies Kakarot and Vegeta together on Earth, where they lived in relative peace.

"Nice" is an understatement.

But I'm sure Bulma is well aware of that.

I had it built some years back.

With about a thousand miles between this little old island and West City, raising a ruckus won't be a problem.

In other words, we are free to fight to our heart's content!
