New Enemies! Androids in Action (2019)

While Goku and Frieza continued their heated mortal clash, Planet Namek was on the brink of fiery collapse! Goku, having attained the powers of a Super Saiyan, ultimately triumphed over the evil emperor. However, not even our mighty hero could escape the massive explosion that signaled Namek's tragic end...

Bulma and company attempted to revive their fallen friends by summoning Porunga with the Namekian Dragon Balls. It was then they learned a shocking truth... Goku was alive!

Porunga was successful in reviving Krillin, who had perished at the cruel hands of Frieza. Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu, who had fallen in the previous Saiyan clash, were brought back as well.

For the third and final wish, the displaced Namekians were transported off Earth to a different planet, taking the Dragon Balls with them... A year elapsed since that day, with no sign of Goku's return.

Earth was enjoying a considerable spell of peace. Unfortunately, its end was nigh... An evil of incalculable proportions was approaching! And with no Goku to guard the Earth, our heroes faced a crisis unlike any other to date...

It's probably going to land somewhere around here.

The mysterious youth who appeared before Frieza and King Cold shocked all present by transforming into a Super Saiyan– before dispatching the villainous duo with fluid ease! Who was this young man?!

Gohan and friends took the anonymous Saiyan up on his offer, waiting for Goku together. However, it appeared the young man had never met Goku before. Nor would he give details regarding his identity, including name.

Three years from now, on May 12th around 10 am, a fearsome duo will appear on an island 9 km southwest from South City.

The power they wield is beyond anything you can fathom. As is their savagery.

No... They're androids created on Earth... Cyborgs.

Their creator is Dr. Gero, chief scientist for the former Red Ribbon Army.

Engineered to be the perfect killing machines, after murdering their creator, Androids #19 and #20 proceeded to vent their bloodlust on the rest of the planet's inhabitants... so history goes.

Vegeta and Earth's other heroes made a brave charge, but were slain... This left Trunks the only living warrior in this bleak future two decades ahead.

Trunks had left our heroes with a grave warning: two androids of unimaginable strength would rise to engineer their doom... In order to meet this mortal challenge, our heroes resolved to go their separate ways and engage in fierce training.

The day had arrived at last, with the Z Warriors assembled on the isle near South City. Was this the first page of a new historical chapter, or the last? Yajirobe, tasked with delivering Senzu Beans to our heroes, was attacked by an unknown foe!

The mechanical monsters, with the ability to flit about undetected by our heroes, had appeared at last in South City... The Z Warriors re-routed themselves, following the androids' trail of destruction.

Super Saiyan Goku's power left #19 bewildered. Or so it seemed... #19 pulled off a shocking feat– absorbing a mighty Kamehameha unleashed by Earth's hero!

As the fight progressed, Goku appeared to have the upper hand... until an alarming change befell our hero. Unexpectedly, the symptoms of his fatal heart ailment appeared at this moment!

The stricken Saiyan's condition hampered his power, culminating in the battle's tide favoring #19. Goku was in dire straits. Luckily for him... Vegeta appeared!

With Goku weakened by the sudden apparition of his fatal illness, #19 succeeded in ensnaring him and siphoning his energy! That is until Vegeta exploded onto the scene!

Rue the day you crossed Super Vegeta... Big Bang Attack!

Vegeta effortlessly dispatched Android #19... It seemed the Saiyan prince's onslaught would continue until a complete victory was reached... But then, Android #20 made a break for it! What lay in store for this fight?!

The fleeing Android #20's scheme was to prey on Piccolo and company's energy from the shadows, in order to ultimately defeat Vegeta. However, the dastardly android was soon found by the incensed prince...

I'll say! We can dismantle 'em without Goku's help!

Yeah!

Did he say... "Trunks"?!

That's... That's the name of my son!

Wh-Who is this?

You WERE fighting him, weren't you?

As more truths unfolded, more mysteries arose... Androids #19 and #20 appeared just as Trunks said, but were they not our heroes' true foes? If so, just who were #17 and #18?

It turned out that there were other androids besides #19 and #20! In order to activate Androids #17 and #18, #20 made a beeline for the laboratory.

Bulma, having caught a glimpse of Android #20 before he fled, was able to ascertain the android was in fact Dr. Gero himself! With that, Vegeta and company set a course for the lab.

Their arrival, however, was a hair late. Staring down at the activated #17 and #18, would our heroes be up for the challenge?

Y-Yeah... That's right.

Don't let appearances fool you!

They're the most vicious pair the planet has ever seen!

It seemed #17 and #18 found the notion of following Gero's orders less than interesting. A fact which became glaringly clear when #17 savagely destroyed him– before going on to activate Android #16, an android not even Trunks had heard of.

I'd rather self-destruct than let Gero yank me around...but we do need SOMETHING to do.

Let's go on a hunt for Goku for starters, hm?
