Super Warrior Memorial [Trunks, Fighter of Hope]

Merciless androids had reduced the world to a hellscape. And the fighters who had stood against them had fallen one by one, including Trunks' father Vegeta.

Except for Gohan and Trunks, the androids had defeated all the other fighters who had saved Earth. In a bid to crush the androids and end their butchery and destruction, Trunks asked Gohan to train him.

Gohan and Trunks continued their training without abandoning hope, despite their bleak reality. Vowing to defeat the androids and restore peace one day, they immersed themselves in their grueling training.

With his fallen comrades in his heart, Gohan continued his heroic struggle. However, the power of the two androids was so overwhelming, all he could do was flee despite the strides made during his training.

Gohan and Trunks continued to train and battle the androids. However, in the midst of a fierce fight, Gohan fell in battle. All hope now rests solely in Trunks' hands.

Humanity's torment at the hands of the androids did not diminish with time. Meanwhile, Bulma built a time machine to change their bleak future by sending Trunks to the past to save Goku, who was doomed to die from heart disease.

First, you need to go back 20 years to find Gohan's dad and give him this medicine.

The world wouldn't have ended up like this if Goku hadn't died.

And with that, Trunks boarded the time machine and headed back in time. Little did he know, an entirely new clash awaited him...

Trunks had traveled to the past to change the future by delivering Goku a special medicine that could prevent his ailment. However, Goku had not yet returned from Planet Namek.

Goku was supposed to defeat Frieza, but history had been altered, and Trunks was now the hero. However, this inadvertently led him to come into contact with a young Bulma and Vegeta. Nevertheless, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise for him.

"It's because you're my father..." Trunks swallowed those words before they could slip from his mouth. To see his father alive, his young mother, Gohan as a child and his comrades who had fallen while battling the androids happily chatting away like a family was an entirely new sight for Trunks, who had only known a world of despair...

Goku finally returned before too long. Trunks revealed who he was to Goku and then explained the bleak future and the threat posed by androids. Finally, he handed over the special medicine for treating Goku's heart disease.

Goku narrowly evaded a brush with death thanks to Trunks' medicine. But the hero's survival altered the course of history, meaning a new future was about to begin.

Along with the familiar enemies, Androids #17 and #18, a new android named Cell had appeared, seeking to achieve his Perfect Form by absorbing the other two androids.

To confront the formidable enemies that kept appearing, Trunks teamed up with his father, Vegeta, for the first time. He turned out to be far from the ideal father Trunks had envisioned, but his Saiyan pride was the real deal...

Transcend... the Super Saiyan?!

Trunks had joined Vegeta to train in the Chamber of Spirit and Time so that they could gain power beyond the Super Saiyan state and face the unprecedented threat to Earth. Now it was time for the newly powered-up Trunks to battle Cell, who had absorbed Androids #17 and #18 and achieved his Perfect Form!

Trunks attacked with power surpassing Super Saiyan level but couldn't deliver a decisive blow to Cell... Although his power had greatly increased, his speed suffered for it. Cell pointed out to Trunks the drawback of over-relying on power- based transformations...

I see. So my dad was capable of this transformation... But he didn't use it...

...because he knew this would happen. I've been such a fool.

Stripped of any hope of winning, Trunks conceded defeat... However, intrigued by Trunks and Vegeta's sudden spike in power, Cell made a proposal.

The tournament was to be a sadistic game pitting any and all challengers against Cell. In the event of his victory, Cell declared all humans on Earth would be executed. And so the past was caught up with the future, and the curtain rose on the final showdown with Cell!

The day of the Cell Games, a series of battles to decide the fate of mankind, had finally arrived. Gohan fought bravely with his newly awakened power, but Cell evolved yet again after he was driven into a corner.

Trunks was struck down by Cell's attack, but he was resurrected by the power of the Dragon Balls. When he opened his eyes, he found that Gohan had already brought the Cell Games to an end. That was when he learned what had transpired while he was dead.

And so peace had returned to Earth. After saying his final farewells to his friends and father of the past, Trunks entered the time machine and returned to the future. In this world, the evil Androids #17 and #18 were still very much at large...

I see. So Goku gave his life in the end...

But Gohan cleaned up after him. Good.

What? Y-You mean with Vegeta?!

O-Of course he did! It's what I've been saying all along!

So the Saiyan prince had a soft side, eh? Heaven knows I hardly ever got a peek at it.

The long, arduous battle of the past now behind him, Trunks was back at his mother's side. It was then that news of another android attack blared over the radio...

Three years had passed since Trunks defeated Androids #17 and #18. Once again, the world knew peace, but then Cell appeared and began enacting his plans in secret. However...

And so true peace finally came to Trunks and Bulma's world, which had only known suffering. But several years later, a dark new threat suddenly appeared, and Trunks would have to rise up once more to save the world.

Several years had passed since Trunks had defeated the androids. Peace had finally returned. But one day, a man dressed in black suddenly appeared, calling himself "Goku"...

Trunks and company named this new, sinister enemy who looked just like Goku "Goku Black". Goku Black's onslaught eradicated most of humankind, but Trunks and Mai stood against him together with what remained of humanity...

Hm?! A flash grenade...

Running away, eh?

You call yourself members of the warrior race?

Humanity had resisted as long as it could, but Goku Black's overwhelming might had plunged the world into the depths of despair. So Trunks once again decided to use the time machine to travel to the past. Along with his comrades, they sought their one final hope...

Trunks used the time machine to travel back to the past and seek the help of Goku and Vegeta. Having secured their promise to help, Trunks brought them to the future to fight Goku Black. But they arrived to find that Goku Black had awakened into Super Saiyan Rosé, and with him, Zamasu, a Kai of Universe 10!

It turned out that Goku Black was Goku's body inhabited by the mind of Zamasu from the past. He had the power of Goku, while Zamasu had gained an immortal body via the Super Dragon Balls. It was then that Trunks and our heroes learned of the twisted sense of justice that the two shared!

I never expected you to be so strong.

I'll delight in finishing you last.

Goku Black and Zamasu's merciless condemnation sent Trunks into a rage. He thought nothing of risking his life to protect the hope he believed in. But was there really a way to defeat the immortal Zamasu and the mighty Goku Black?

A series of deadly battles unfolded across time and space... Driven into a corner by the growing strength of the Saiyans and the relentless efforts of humankind, Zamasu resorted to Potara Fusion, shrouding the world in a sinister luminance of despair.

Goku and Vegeta also used Potara Fusion, but before they could clinch a victory, they exhausted the power needed to maintain it. Was humankind to face their last judgment? Or would their last hope win the day? Humanity's fate was in Trunks' hands!

That is who we are!

We work together and survive! That's what it means to be mortal!

Zamasu was cleaved in two by the sword of hope, powered by the energy of humanity's prayers... As Trunks and company took in their victory, the Earth suddenly began to rumble, and a sinister stream of Ki burst forth, erupting into the sky...

A mortal defeating a god? This cannot stand!

Hwa ha ha ha!

With terrible purpose, Zamasu had become the universe itself, engulfing all of creation in his being... Entire civilizations and their people vanished without a trace.

Just when all hope was lost, Goku summoned Zen-Oh, the greatest god in the universe, in a last-ditch effort to save humanity. Seeing the evil that Zamasu had wrought, Zen-Oh erased the entire world and Zamasu with it... Fortunately, Goku and company had just managed to escape in the time machine. The battle against Zamasu was finally over, but...

And so, with hope in their hearts, Trunks and Mai decided to live in the new world. Finally, the day of their departure had arrived...

You just gotta work hard and be happy!

I wonder if the future me will have a grandchild before I do...
