20 linesMere hours before the tournament, things took an unfortunate twist: Buu fell into a deep sleep, robbing Team Universe 7 of a crucial member! It was then Goku proposed a plan, one which would fill the vacant spot with a powerful substitute indeed. Namely, restoring Frieza to the land of the living for a single day!
The "Tournament of Power," eh?
An intriguing notion, to be sure... Intriguing indeed.
Goku explained his offer regarding the tournament. As expected, however, Frieza was not one for silent compliance. The emperor had a condition of his own.
Should we win this battle and save the universe...
...I demand you resurrect me with the Dragon Balls.
Out of options, Goku acquiesced. And so, thanks to Baba's powers, Frieza returned to the land of the living, joining the team as its tenth member. Upon his return, Frieza thwarted a surprise attack from Universe 9's assassins, slaying them and attacking Goku with a stolen orb of destructive energy.
