Zero Mortals Plan
12 scenes, 155 lines
1. Goku and the Kai of Universe 10, before the battle
30 linesA mysterious black-clad villain with a face identical to Goku's had reduced the future world where Trunks lived in to smoldering rubble. They call him... Goku Black.
In an effort to counter this calamitous threat, Trunks boarded his time machine to recruit aid from the past, returning with none other than... Goku and Vegeta! Earth's warriors locked horns with Goku Black as the world's fate hung in the balance. It was then that Zamasu, a Kai of Universe 10, appeared.
The Kai revealed his "Zero Mortals Plan", a plot to eradicate all mortals from the universe. To realize his deranged vision, he had allied with Goku Black. Goku Black transformed into Super Saiyan Rosé. Coupled with Zamasu, who had used the Super Dragon Balls to gain immortality, Goku and Vegeta were soundly vanquished, and forced to flee to their original time via time machine.
So you mean to say the Supreme Kais of the future...
Are gone. It's like they said.
They plan to kill off all other immortals and cement their position as the only gods in existence.
Hmm...
There's more. Goku Black is no mere puppet fashioned by Zamasu.
He's the Zamasu of OUR world. He switched bodies with Kakarot, thus becoming Goku Black.
That explains why Goku Black possessed the same Ki as Zamasu.
Finally, the mystery's solved. Everything began with Goku and Zamasu's sparring match.
If it isn't Lord Beerus.
Gowasu.
It's been eons.
Allow me to introduce my apprentice, Zamasu.
It is an honor to make your acquaintance.
So you're the prodigiously strong Kai I've been hearing about!
What is a mere mortal doing here?!
He is a Saiyan living on Earth, a planet known for its gourmet delicacies.
A Saiyan?!
So, whaddaya say to a quick round?
A round? ...Of?!
Fighting, duh!
Please? I came a heck of a long way just for this!
Don't take that tone with me, you boorish mortal!
Let him fight you, Zamasu.
But, Master Gowasu...!
This could provide an excellent opportunity for you to get to know the mortals better.
...
As you wish.
2. Goku and the Kai of Universe 10, after the battle
17 linesThis Ki... It feels like Goku Black! Wait, it's not exactly the same, but still...
How can a mortal possess such strength...?!
You know, you're pretty tough for a Kai!
Let's have another round sometime!
...
Well, Zamasu?
Thank you, master, for granting me the rare opportunity to face the Saiyan.
It has helped deepen my understanding of mortals.
I also hope it has assuaged your feelings of distrust towards them.
I am deeply ashamed of how callow I've been.
Good. Then this was a fruitful venture indeed.
Most certainly.
Such reflection is what it means to grow...
My dear apprentice.
Yes, master.
Mortals are indeed a threat that must be dealt with.
Goku... I will etch your name in my memory!
3. Justice and Order, before the battle
3 linesZamasu's fight with Goku only served to magnify the former's distrust of mortals. One day, Zamasu and Gowasu used a time- traveling instrument known as a "Time Ring" to observe the mortal inhabitants of Planet Babari.
Hm...
So long as mortals exist, true peace... will not!
4. Justice and Order, after the battle
36 linesGrrrooooargh!
No, Zamasu!
Wh-What have you done?!
...
Why kill that creature? We could have returned without interference.
For all we know, that individual could have had a major impact on the future of Planet Babari.
...
What is the root of your distrust in mortals?
Master Gowasu, you have said something often.
"To make mistakes but learn from them, thus forging a better world. That is the essence of a mortal spirit."
Your point?
As far as I can see, mortals do not learn.
Planet Babari is no outlier, master. You've seen this countless times before.
Patience, Zamasu. Every seed needs time to grow.
When I was invited here, I hoped that under your tutelage I could learn of divine justice.
Now, I find myself at an impasse. Is justice merely to wait?
Zamasu, have you pondered the concepts of good and evil?
Evil is the great obstacle to good.
Justice is the sword by which good can overcome evil, and thus flourish.
One perspective, I suppose. My opinion is a little different.
I see justice as a scale that keeps good and evil in balance.
Balance?
One can succumb to evil but reject that darkness and rediscover the light with new understanding. Justice makes that journey possible.
Evil informs good. That is why we give the mortals their minds.
You give corruption far too much credit. Evil does not inform good. It sullies it.
Like those creatures who sullied their world with violence, and that arrogant Goku, who sullied this sacred ground by raising his fist to a god.
...
Mortals received the divine gift of intellect, but they misuse it to destroy the beauty of creation. Mortals do not succumb to evil. They are the evil.
They created and spread it with minds they shouldn't possess. How can we call ourselves gods if we watch this plight and do nothing to stop it?
Zamasu... You have a strong hunger for justice, and that can be a great thing.
But we must put temperance over righteousness and guide lost children to the good path at a pace that seems slow, even for us.
...
Do not forget the true reason you have honed your fighting ability is to strengthen your mind for your journey toward enlightenment.
Being gods does not make us perfect. We too must learn and mature over time.
...
Merely watching is a sin, too. Don't you see?
5. Good and Evil, before the battle
7 linesUnable to overcome his distrust of mortals, Zamasu became dis- satisfied with the godly definition of justice. One day, Zamasu made a pivotal discovery while his master was watching GodTube.
Master, what are those planets?
Those are probably the Super Dragon Balls.
This is actually the first time I've seen them myself.
The Super Dragon Balls? What exactly are they?
Rumor has it they have the power to grant any wish.
ANY wish...?
6. Good and Evil, after the battle
9 linesZamasu! Did you not learn your lesson? Did you not change for better?!
Learn? Change? I need not do either.
Before exercising divine justice, I shall eradicate all evil!
Zamasu...!
And that is how Zamasu killed Gowasu, becoming Supreme Kai.
His new status allowed him to wear a Time Ring and jump to the future, where he then used the Super Dragon Balls...
...Allowing him to hijack Kakarot's body and become Goku Black.
Oh, this guy's going DOWN. All the way!
Zamasu's obsession with his personal brand of justice had set a cataclysmic chain of events in motion. Would our heroes be able to thwart the will of a god and save the future along with all mortal kind?!
7. Imposter's Body and Saiyan Cells, before the battle
6 linesIt came to light that the body of Goku Black had been stolen from the original Goku, birthing one of the strongest villains ever to walk the world. Coupled with Zamasu gaining immortality via the Super Dragon Balls, the universe was in peril's maw... Hoping to defeat Goku Black and Zamasu, Goku and Vegeta hurtled forward through time, returning to the future yet again for a decisive showdown.
Heh.
Which one do you wanna take, Vegeta?
Must you ask? I'll take the guy with your face.
Heh! Pretty big game you're talking there.
Oh, please. I could trounce the REAL you. I won't lose to an imposter!
8. Imposter's Body and Saiyan Cells, after the battle
9 linesImpossible... How could Vegeta grow this strong in such a short span of time?
I guess they don't call his kind a warrior race for nothing...
Shall I tell you where you miscalculated?
What?!
Kakarot's body has been honed by decades of fierce battles, right down to its very cells.
Its true Saiyan potential can only be wielded by an honest-to-god idiot like him!
H-How can he be overpowering me...?
Simple. Because you're an imposter!
And I...am the prince of all Saiyans, Vegeta!
9. Anger and New Strength, before the battle
15 linesIncensed at the sight of his wounded son Trunks, Vegeta transformed his berserk rage into sheer Saiyan might, overwhelming Goku Black. But the battle was not over yet.
Your bodies were bestowed upon you by the gods, and you dare misuse them? Manipulating godly Ki, as if it was your own?!
Hmph. And you call yourself a god? I'm still standing.
Aha. I've figured out the key to your unnaturally rapid growth...
Anger, is it not?
...
Anger. It is the spark that ignites an inferno of latent strength. How mortal.
How...vulgar. No wonder it escaped me.
But I, too, harbor anger. Towards mortals for defiling the universe with their existence.
Towards the gods for allowing such a travesty. And towards myself... for letting your boorish kind best me.
Heh heh.
Now he's got a scythe?
Behold. By turning my wrath into power, I have ascended to greater heights once again!
If anger can be turned into power... Then the limitless rage I bear makes me the strongest of all!
Tch!
10. Anger and New Strength, after the battle
4 linesVegeta, you okay?
That blasted imposter...!
Let this pain teach you the extent of a god's fury!
By channeling his intense rage, Goku Black attained new strength, proceeding to throw his hapless foes around like rag dolls. Were our heroes completely outclassed? Had Super Saiyan Blue's godly power finally reached its limits?
11. Gods and Mortals, before the battle
5 linesWhile Goku and Vegeta were locked in mortal combat with Goku Black, Trunks and Mai had their hands full with a clash of their own, against Zamasu.
In a desperate bid to counter Zamasu, Trunks had hastily acquired the "Evil Containment Wave" technique. All that remained was to use it... How would the gamble play out?
Zamasu!
Hmph. Though contorting your mortal flesh into a gnarled mess will gain me nothing... Oh, why not?
Laugh while you can. You're going to be spending eternity in a VERY cramped living space!
12. Gods and Mortals, after the battle
14 linesTrunks unleashed his newly acquired technique on the unsuspecting Zamasu... All seemed well...at first. Due to a a last minute slip up, the technique failed. Zamasu could not be contained and escaped...
Oh... Oh no!
(pant... pant...) (gasp)
Look at you. A god...
...reduced to a heaving wreck! What happened here?
I-It appears we have made a grave error. Mortals are more than mere insects.
If we do not exterminate them here and now, our ideals will never be realized.
So be it. The game is over.
...
Your mortal ignorance has led you to blaspheme your very creators. The time for penance is at hand.
Behold... The true power of the gods!
At last, the time is upon us.
Uh, what's upon us?
What was the sinister pair plotting next? And would our heroes be able to triumph against their strongest adversaries yet? The final phase of the Zero Mortals Plan was but moments away...!
