3. Deadly Showdown on Planet Namek, before the battle
14 linesTime marched on... After learning of the existence of the wish- granting Dragon Balls, Frieza set off for Planet Namek, where he hoped to attain eternal youth and immortality, thereby further cementing his place as emperor of the universe.
But despite obtaining all the Dragon Balls, Frieza was thwarted at the last moment, and his dream of immortality was dashed.
Realizing eternal life had escaped his grasp, Frieza erupted in rage, trans- forming into his true form. One by one, he hunted down those who had shattered his dream. But a Saiyan, who had escaped Planet Vegeta's destruction, arrived from Earth only to suddenly undergo a strange transformation!
Enough's enough, you monster... Your reign of terror ends here.

The Super Saiyan had revealed his terrible strength as told of in legends. Frieza's pride had been shattered, for he believed no one could be more powerful than he was. But the Super Saiyan was, and Frieza was finally defeated.
5. Frieza's Raging Counterstrike, before the battle
8 linesFrieza had truly lost to Goku, and Planet Namek was vaporized... Yet among the rubble of the planet, Frieza floated, barely clinging onto life. Even at the final moment, Goku was far too soft- hearted to deal the finishing blow.
Eventually, while floating through space, Frieza was saved by his father, King Cold. His damaged flesh was repaired with machine parts, and eventually he was reborn.
Set a course for Earth, Father.
Earth? Why do you want to go to a back- water planet like that?
Why? To defeat the Super Saiyan.
A-Absurd! A Super Saiyan truly exists?
He knows nothing of the pain I suffered nor the irreparable damage done to my pride...
