Rukia's Special Training: Attributes

Let's begin our weekly Anti-Hollow Combat Skills Course session.

Wait, when did it become a weekly thing?

Today, we're going to talk about Attributes. You'd better listen well, because this is important stuff when you're doing your quests.

Alright, ignore me then.

Idiot! As a Soul Reaper, you should be training every day. A weekly session isn't often enough!

So? What's this lesson about again?

We're going to talk about Attributes.

You see how the Attribute is shown beneath and to the left of a character icon?

Yeah. I haven't really been paying much attention to them. They are different colors, right?

Right. The fact that you noticed that should make this quicker.

You see, Attributes have a rock-paper-scissors system. If you have the advantageous Attribute, then you deal more damage and take less damage.

On the other hand, if it's a disadvantageous Attribute, you'll deal less damage, and take more damage.

And how can you tell if these Attributes are at your advantage or disadvantage?

As for that, I think it's easier to show you than explain with words. You see the Attribute compatibilities in the upper left?

Yeah, wasn't it something like...

Red is stronger than green, green is stronger than blue, and blue is stronger than red... I think.

Correct. Red represents Power, green is Technique, and blue is Speed. Switching characters to maintain an advantage against the enemy is one way to plan your strategy.

There are two other Attributes as well, but I'll leave those for the next session.

The target Hollows all have different Attributes, amazingly enough.
