The idea of "country" does not exist in this world now. What we have are territories that surround Cacao Castle at their center, united as one nation.

You see, it was over a century ago when someone discovered a way to create a sacred treasure of ancient legends that could grant its wielder any wish.

Because of its existence, a war broke out. Many countries fell to ruin, as did the lives of many people.

The war continued for decades until Her Majesty finally obtained the treasure and wished for peace.

That is how the Cacao Society came to be the one sole nation as it exists today.

I don't really get it, but wouldn't peace mean that everyone gets to live happily ever after?

Her Majesty being able to obtain the treasure was mainly thanks to the efforts of Yoruichi and Kisuke.

At the time, Yoruichi was the leader of a small country, but a country nonetheless.

In a broad perspective, it's true that we've all attained a peaceful life. However, the emotions of an individual can be a little more complicated.

As with most others, I'm sure Yoruichi's people hoped for their own country to be victorious.

But with the way things turned out, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them thought that Yoruichi betrayed her own people.
