It wasn't that they took a long time to become bombs.

They became bombs as soon as her attacks hit them. They simply paused the effect for three seconds. As I said, it's an extremely simple mechanism.

And yet, with just this simple mechanism, I have utterly nullified that zombie girl's attack.

And now, I'm happy to say, the two of you will make lovely test subjects for me.
