Chapter 1: Commencement and Round Four

*Sigh*

Hey, I'm here to deliver New Year's greeting cards. Uh, what's wrong with you, Hanataro?

Oh, Ganju... Happy New Year.

You sure don't look like you're having a happy one. Did something happen?

It's just that... I'm a bit tired.

Well, you see... We had our New Year's event yesterday and for some reason, I ended up being the announcer, but...

We will now begin our New Year's Red Team vs. White Team Court Guard Talent Show!

The winner of the third round goes to Lieutenant Omaeda with his act, "Cash Rain!"

Wasn't that a bit unfair?

Rangiku, your magic trick show with Captain Soi Fon won more because of the outfits than the trick itself, so I don't think you should be the one to complain.

That being said, this last one wasn't a show of talent at all.

B-But I can't do anything about the results. It's based on the votes from the judges.

Well, a win is a win.

I hope we can keep up the winning streak.

Leave it to me! My show's gonna be perfect. I brought us a powerful guest!

Isn't that right, Ichigo?! We're gonna do great!

Huh?! I don't even know why you brought me here! What are you gonna make me do?!

"Giant Zabimaru Spinning-Top Reversed by Getsuga!"

What the hell is that?!

Uh, um... You need to start or else you're gonna run out of time and lose by default.

Hold on a minute. Explain to me what's going on here!

Here we goooo!

Hahhhh!

Man, what the hell are you doing?! How could you miss such a giant target?!

Shut up!

I don't even understand what we're doing here. Did you really think it'd work out?

What are you trying to say, huh?!

Uh, well... Round four with Lieutenant Abarai and Ichigo has resulted in a disqualification.
