Chapter 6: Discovery of a Big Scoop?!

Go into the alley, make three right turns, then two lefts, then go down a set of stairs... That should be right.

All right! I'm coming for you, my big scoop!

I think I've reached the place...but this building feels like it's...

What's that?!

What do you think it is? It's an intruder alarm. What are you doing here?

I thought I entered a building that's been the subject of rumor for a century. Captain Hirako told me there was a big secret here...

...but is this the Department of Research and Development?

Really, now? So people from other squads know about the locations of our annex laboratories, is that right?

That man is truly a lingering pain in the neck.

Captain Kurotsuchi!

Anyway, we need to keep this place a secret. If we keep silencing you pesky rats, we'll eventually be able to catch the one spreading the rumor.

I made it on time somehow.

I almost thought I wouldn't be able to finish writing the article by being greedy and going after the scoop, but...

...I made it! Eight pages! This is all thanks to Rukia and the captains! Now all I have to do is take this to the printing press.

Kenseeeei! Shuheeeei! Listen, listen! I've got a big scoop!

Wh-What?!

Shut up, Mashiro! Why did you have to break the wall just to come back in here?!

Because Shinji told me about a super secret! I don't have time to go all the way to the door. You're so stupid, Kensei!

What...? What just happened?!

Wait, never mind that. It can wait until later. Hey, the drafts are safe, right?

Um, actually... The explosion just blew them all away.

Whaaaatttt?! But today is the deadline!!!
