We don't even know where the rumor came from. It started during the whole business with the Ryoka, so I have a feeling it's just a misunderstanding.

If I don't find her and end these rumors, we'll just keep getting inundated with patients. That's why I was sent to try and find her.

And she also has long, bright-colored hair.

It's possible they got so fixated on all the stories of how pretty she was that they just didn't realize that it was Orihime.

But how exactly do you want her to help? Do you just want Orihime to go around telling people she's the source of the rumors?

From one end of the Seireitei to the other? The rumors have spread throughout all the Court Guards. I doubt that will be effective.
