Today, I'll be talking about the Espada.

I believe I explained in the last session of the Arrancar Encyclopedia...

...that Arrancar are Hollows who've gained powers by taking off their masks.

The ones who come out especially powerful are then given numbers by Captain Aizen.

And of these numbered Arrancar, those who are numbered one to ten are called the Espada.

The Espada each have their own palace within Las Noches, and you can usually find them there.

So to learn more about them, why don't we actually go take a look?

The numbers that the Arrancar have are assigned to them based on how powerful they are.

Nnoitora is Espada Number Five.

This means that he's the fifth most powerful of the ten Espadas.

What?! How dare you talk about me as if that's the truth?

Maybe you just didn't know, so let me teach YOU a lesson.

I am the strongest of them all!

The Arrancars' true Hollow powers are contained within their swords. They can release this power by performing a "Resurrección."

By releasing their sword, an Arrancar can double or even triple their powers.

This also heals them from all of the damage that they took up to that point.
