Chapter 3: Improved Working Conditions

Ah, found you.

Huh? Oh, hey, Lisa.

Your captain was-

What's that?! You said captain?!

Geez, lower your volume. Anyway, your captain was looking for you.

He was, was he? What errand does that slacker want me to run for him now?

I'm not sure what's going on, but you need to calm yourself down.

Anyway, I've relayed the message and I did my part to stop you. You guys take care of it on your own.

Hmph!

Crap!

Oh, Hiyori! I've been looking for you.

You see, I got this for-

What now?! Let me guess. You're out and about taking your sweet break, aren't you?!

Huh?

So, what job were you planning to force onto me next?!

And look at you with that weird machine. If you have the time to play with it, why don't you do some work?!

Force work on you? Me, play around? No, I just wanted to-

I don't want to hear it!

Ahh?!

Stop running!

Hiyori! It's a misunderstanding! Really!

I was looking for you because I wanted to apologize!

A-Apologize?

Whenever I give you a task, you always work really hard to get it done.

You're reliable, and you make really accurate judgments, so I feel comfortable asking you to do things for me.

But I thought about it and realized your workload must have increased after we opened the Department of Research & Development. I'm very sorry.

This is a massage machine that will relax your fatigued muscles. Please feel free to use it.

............

I know it's long overdue, but I wanted to tell you I'm always very thankful for everything you do.

Tell me if you get tired. Make sure you get your rest. I don't want you to overwork yourself.

Remember. You're the irreplaceable lieutenant of my squad, Hiyori.

Er, as long as you understand!

I'm glad you appreciate me for all the work I do.

This reward is only appropriate. Massage machine, you said? I'll make use of it for sure.

So...did you already finish turning in those documents? I guess I could help you with that.
