Chapter 1: Disaster at Home

Ughhhh... It's raining again?

Hey, Kensei! Do something to entertain us!

Just shut up and stay quiet.

But it's booooring!!!

It has been raining for a while, and we've been cooped up here for days now.

I can understand why we're getting the blues.

Eep!

Who the hell did that?! Why did you splash water down my back?!

No one would do something that stupid.

Bwah?! That was cold!

What the hell do you think you're doing, you baldy!

Hrpth! It wasn't me, you idiot!

No one's playing tricks on anyone. The rain's leaking through the roof!

Uh oh! It's actually leaking all over the place!

Hachi, put up your barrier.

Uh, I can't maintain my barriers to keep the rain out for that long.

Fine, I'll head over to Kisuke's to see if we can get it repaired.

Hiyori, come with me. I need someone to hold all the stuff.

Go alone, baldy! You're such an idiot! Hurry up and get going already!

Gah! Hey, you could at least give me an umbrella!

Hmm, okay. I understand your situation.

I can ask Tessai to go fix that for you.

Thanks, Kisuke. We'll be borrowing him for a bit then.

Oh, but not so fast. You haven't paid yet.

According to your explanation, it sounds like you'll need a major repair. So the total fee will come out to something like this.

What?! That's expensive! Are you sure you're not just trying to rip me off?

We're a business here too, you know?

If you can't pay for the service, I can't send Tessai out.

Hey, remember all the times I helped you out when you first became a captain? You owe me for that!

That's a completely different story.

Fine, I'll help you out with your work for a bit, so give me a discount.

I suppose that's fair. All right, it's a deal.

I'll ask Tessai to go work on the repairs right now. As for you, Shinji, let me show you what needs to be done.
