10 linesUpon reaching the Greater Royal Palace, Ichigo attempts to save the Soul King's life by removing the sword that Yhwach used to impale him.
However, as if somehow compelled by the Quincy blood flowing through his veins, Ichigo instead uses the blade to slash the Soul King upon pulling it from his body.
With the Soul King lost, strange phenomena being to occur across the Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and the World of the Living.
As the Soul Reapers tremble in shock, Ukitake takes action...
I will have to take the Soul King's place.

From the moment I realized why I had survived, this day has never been far from my thoughts.
Nothing would please me more than to sacrifice this second life for the Court Guards.
But Captain Ukitake, if you were to die, then what would become of Squad 13?
