Chapter 4: The Way to Victory

Middle school students sure are strong, aren't they? I'm afraid we're no match for them at all.

Nonsense! We can still win this game!

Toshiro! You're late!

How can I be late if I never even said I was coming?

Now it's our turn to get back at them! Ready, guys?! We're gonna go out there and kick some butt!

Hey, wait! Hold on. I didn't come here to play soccer with you guys.

Your knee... Are you hurt?

It's just a little scratch. I'm fine!

All right, I guess I'll play. I suppose you guys want to win, right?

Yeah! Let's go!

Another amazing goal! Yes! We tied it!

If we get one more goal, we'll win!

Toshiro! Put it in again!

No, you do it. This is your team!

Here goes!

Yahh!

We won! We did it!

It's all thanks to you, Toshiro!

Come on, you're the one who scored the winning goal.

Anyway, there's something I need to ask you. The other day, you seemed to-

Roaaaarrrr!!!

Oh, no! It's back again!

This is...

Toshiro, you can see that thing?!

I'll explain it to you later. Just run away, now!

(He's wearing the same black kimono that Ichigo has.)

(He's a Soul Reaper!)

Are you all right?

Y-Yeah. Uh, Toshiro. That kimono you're wearing...

You do seem to have a strong spiritual energy, but I never thought that you'd be able to see me in this form.

Please, tell me you know where my brother has been all this time! I know that you're a Soul Reaper!

Huh? How do you know about Soul Reapers?

Because my brother's a Soul Reaper too. His name is Ichigo Kurosaki.

Kurosaki? So then, that must mean you're Ichigo's younger sister. That makes sense.

Sorry, but unfortunately, I don't know where Ichigo is.

I see.

However, I do know that he's somewhere working on his strength. I suppose he's just like you.

No matter what, he sticks it out until the very end, because that's the sort of person he is.

............

Hey, don't worry. After all, he's your brother, right?

Yeah, you're right.

Captain! You're safe!

Rangiku, you're late!

So she's a Soul Reaper too?

Yeah, she's my subordinate.

Oh, you have subordinates?

Captain, can this girl see us?

She's Ichigo Kurosaki's sister.

His sister?!

Yeah, hi there. Wow, you really are a captain.

You sure are cool, Toshiro, even though you're just a little grade schooler!

Nrg!

Hahaha! That's hilarious!

Look, I'm only gonna tell you this one last time! I am not a little kid!!!
