Chapter 6: The Truth

We'll take care of the final report. You can go back home.

But I...

It'll be fine, Rukia. Don't you have more pressing matters to take care of?

Thank you very much!

Ah!

This is Byakuya's Spiritual Pressure.

Byakuya?!

............

Brother, may I ask why you're dressed like that? I heard you were in the world of the living, but what are you doing?

I do not wish to discuss this with you right now.

Lord Byakuya, you should know that Lady Rukia is very concerned for you.

Please, can you tell us what you're doing?

If you don't want to tell us, then...

W-Wait, Sode No Shirayuki! What do you plan to do with my brother?!

Stop! Don't point your sword at my brother!

But...

Let's go.

Go where?

The world of the living.

What...is all this?

Brother, please wait!

Captain, I got everyone to come.

I invited Orihime too.

Renji! Ichigo!

Hey, Rukia. You're here early.

Early? Explain to me, Renji. What is going on?

It's White Day, remember?

Huh?

This is all for you, Rukia.

M-Me?

Turns out, Rangiku told our Captain that a White Day gift has to be worth 30 times what was received for Valentine's Day.

So he prepared all of this for you. We were just forced into helping him out.

Oh, so this is Captain Kuchiki's secret that Rukia was so concerned about?

But I do have to admit, you think on a completely different scale.

It was a ton of work for us, thanks to your exaggeration, Rangiku.

At first, it was running errands to get things, but then he decided to turn it into a party.

Kisuke says I owe him for this, and the Shiratama Anmitsu was so heavy.

It was so much trouble carrying all of it!

You barely carried any of it.

I understand why they're so expensive though. It was delicious!

So it was you who bought them all.

Toshiro was right. See? It was nothing serious.

Aren't you glad, Rukia?

Orihime...

I'm sorry I had you worried. I really didn't expect this.

It's fine. But isn't there someone you should be saying thanks to?

Right. I need to go.

Byakuya.

Here you go, Rukia.

This... It's a Chappy Soul Pager!

I wasn't sure if that and this party is enough to repay you.

Oh, but this is more than enough.

I'm so sorry. I had completely misunderstood.

Do not worry.

But, brother, I...

I said not to worry. Feel free to enjoy your time here.

Thank you!
