Chapter 5

We finished up earlier than usual today, huh!

Sure did! I thought we were just getting a bunch of random jobs passed off to us. But it looks like we're really coming along, huh?

Right. I feel the same way. Oh, Shuhei!

Hey, seems like you've completed all the tasks I gave you.

Yessir!

I'm heading to help check the operation of the dummy Hollows for the exam after this. If you're free, want to come and watch?

Um, are you sure we can come with you for such an important task?

Validating that they're working correctly will be a job for the instructors, you'll just be watching. Even so, I think you could learn a lot from it.

We would love to go!

Look at all these dummy Hollows. You have to check that they all work?

That's right. Stay away from the instructors. It's dangerous.

We sixth-year students will transport and check the dummy Hollows for external injuries or anything else. You three stay here and watch.

And make sure you don't accidentally touch anything.

We got it!

I know they're just dummies, but it feels weird seeing a Hollow not moving at all.

You'll get them moving saying that.

Something that crazy would never hap...

Hey, they're really starting to move?!

Run!

Is anyone hurt?

We're fine! No one was injured, thanks to your help.

Well then...that was a close one. Sorry, but I'll have to check them all again, so I'll need you three to move a bit further away.

Understood. Um, Please be careful you don't get hurt either!

I will. Thanks.

Do you think we could have handled it if Shuhei hadn't come to our aid?

Our bodies sprang into action. Even if he didn't come, we could have dealt with them!

That might be true, but his reaction speed... He really is a sight to see.

Yeah...I guess you're right.

Totally!
